Dr. Maloney earned his medical degree from the Texas A&M University College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for exemplifying compassionate, patient-focused care. He completed both his diagnostic radiology residency and his vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center, one of the most respected interventional radiology training programs in the country, where he also served as Chief Resident.

With eight years of post-training clinical experience, Dr. Maloney has built a distinguished practice centered on embolization therapies and interventional oncology. He is particularly skilled in TAME (Transarterial Micro-Embolization), prostate artery embolization, uterine fibroid embolization, and Y-90 radioembolization for hepatocellular carcinoma and liver metastases. His procedural expertise allows him to treat patients with complex conditions using targeted, minimally invasive techniques that reduce recovery time and avoid major surgery.
Dr. Maloney previously practiced within the Baylor Scott & White Health system in Round Rock, where he participated in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborated with oncologists, surgeons, and other specialists. He has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and co-authored a book chapter on radiology in legal oncology. He was also the recipient of the 2024 Baylor Scott & White Health Zero Hero Award for Interventional Radiology.
